Those look great man. That inspires me to put a single strap down the front of my surplus italian mail bag pannier conversion. Do you have any suggestions on webbing and buckles?
I would just go to the fabric store and look at 1" webbing and side release buckles. That should do the trick. metal buckles are nice too, just get the right size.
